Die Schutzbefohlenen

Academy for Theatre and Dance, 2016

This performance – loosely based around the piece “Die Schutzbefohlenen” by Elfride Jelinek – tries to deal with the discrepancy in the treatment of refugees from different countries. The director reflects on his background as a child of jewish refugees from the former Soviet Union and the racism within this community. The performance is a call for solidarity and empathy between different refugee-communites.
