Romeo and Juliet

Academy for Theatre and Dance, 2017

In this queer-party-queen-adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic love story, Romeo and Juliet meet on the dance floor of a club. The show uses dramaturgy and imagery we might rather find at a concert or club, than a Theater, to tell story about people living true to their emotions. Romeo and Juliet is a love-letter to intense feelings, staying an emotional teenager - even as an adult - and queer party-culture.

'Well they are just two lovers and one is standing on the balcony and one is not'
